What kinds of roles do you recruit for?
Senior leaders and niche, mission-critical roles for social impact and life science organizations: NGOs, foundations, nonprofits and research institutions. Executive search for social impact is our specialty.
How long does a search take?
About 8–10 weeks from first conversation to first day, in six phases: define the role, plan and launch, source and engage, assess and shortlist, interview and decide, and offer and close.
What’s the difference between retained and managed recruiting?
With retained recruiting, we work closely with your in-house team to fill key leadership or niche roles that are hard to hire through traditional channels. With managed recruiting, we partner with your HR and hiring teams and run the recruiting process end to end, on your behalf.
Can you build a talent pipeline for us?
Yes. Our sourcing services establish an ongoing talent pipeline so your team is never without mission-critical people. We research the talent marketplace and build diverse pipelines that meet your requirements.
Can you improve our own recruiting process?
Yes. Our consulting analyzes the process you already have, optimizes your frameworks and tools, designs new processes from the ground up and builds talent strategies for the roles ahead.
Do you recruit internationally?
Yes. We bring local and global relationships to every search, and our team recruits for both domestic and international roles.
How do you price a search?
Every engagement is customized, fees included, so your recruitment maximizes your budget and puts more money toward your mission. Tell us about the role and we’ll shape the engagement around you.
Can a search stay confidential?
Yes. Many of our searches are confidential and never posted, and we run a discreet, confidential process throughout.

Each active search has its own page with a link to the full position description and application. You can also email the search team at recruiting@talentongroup.com to talk it through confidentially.
Can I refer someone?
Please do. Referrals are how the best searches start. Send us a note about the role and the person.
Do you run searches that aren’t posted?
Yes. Many of our searches are confidential and never posted. If you’d like us to know about you, send us a note.

Who leads Talenton Group?
Matt MacLean founded Talenton Group in 2020. He brings 25+ years in talent acquisition as a recruiting practitioner and leader across philanthropy (Gates Foundation, Ballmer Group), healthcare and global nonprofits (PATH, GH Labs), start-ups and large enterprises (Amazon, Microsoft).
How is Talenton Group related to Talenton Medical?
Talenton Medical is our sister company, founded by Beth MacLean, BSN, RN. It provides surgical staffing, consulting and recruiting for ambulatory surgery centers.
